National Chocolate Day

National Chocolate Day is finally here, an excuse to indulge in your favorite chocolate-y treat(s)! We’re big chocolate lovers here at Rev – not only does a piece of chocolate satisfy a sweet tooth, but dark chocolate can also give a much-needed caffeine boost during an afternoon slump.

In the Pacific Northwest, we have so many local chocolate companies worth celebrating! Here are three of our favorite local chocolate brands that are must-haves.

Fran’s Chocolates: A Seattle classic! Fran’s was founded in Seattle’s Madison Valley 39 years ago by expert chocolatier Fran Bigelow. This women-owned family business is world famous for its salted caramels, coined “Obama’s favorite chocolate”! Head to one of Fran’s four Seattle locations to build a custom box of chocolates and enjoy a rich, decadent drinking chocolate with fresh whipped cream and dark chocolate shavings. Or place an order online if you can’t stop by in person. You won’t regret it!

Theo Chocolate: You can’t talk about chocolate in the PNW without talking about Theo. Theo is a beloved Seattle company not just because of its delicious chocolate, but also because its  values and mission are so admirable. As the first Organic and Fair Trade-certified chocolate factory in North America, Theo sets the standard for how all chocolate should be made!

Seattle Chocolate Company: There are many reasons to love Seattle Chocolate Company -- it is a woman-owned and run company that strives to give back to its partner farmers and families, in addition to composting and cutting down on waste wherever possible! When a company is as lovable as its product, how could you not fangirl?  Just thinking about their bite-sized truffles makes your mouth water!
