Must-Have Spring Styles

Hello, spring and almost summer! We’ve been waiting for you all winter long.

One of our favorite things to do as the seasons change is give our wardrobes a little refresh-- but we know that this can be a somewhat unsustainable habit depending on where you’re shopping from. Have no fear! Today we’re sharing some of our favorite spring style and fashion trends and where to find them from businesses you can feel good about supporting.

  1. Bright Colors and Unique Patterns

We couldn’t write a spring fashion piece without including colors and fun patterns. A trend that never fails to resurface at the end of winter because let’s face it, everyone is in a better mood when you swap out the neutrals for pastels and the sun starts to shine again! Our favorite statement pieces as of late have been from The OULA Company. We think this dress will be your most worn piece of the season! Not ready for a full statement piece yet? Check out Arvin Goods’ reclaimed cotton abstract crew socks for a small pop of spring fun.

  1. Thrifting and Upcycling

It seems as though many people have just begun to realize and learn about the harmful effects of fast fashion, and thrifting has had a considerable rise in popularity! Not to mention the affordability of thrifting and unique one-of-a-kind finds. In Seattle, some of our favorites are Fremont Vintage Mall, Lifelong Thrift Store, and Out of the Closet. Don’t want to leave the comfort of your bed or want to sell yourself? Try Depop, Mecari, Sella and Poshmark

  1. Matching Sets

Most of us are still working from home and it seems sweat sets / loungewear sets are not going out of style anytime soon! With that being said, the weather might make it time to replace the sweatpants with sweatshorts. Though investment pieces for sure, we’d recommend PANGAIA or Los Angeles Apparel for all your comfy and cozy loungewear sets. Both brands are incredibly dedicated to using responsibly sourced, organic, recycled and sustainable materials for their garments.

  1. Nail Art

A great way to stay on trend without buying anything new or having to rely on clothing to express yourself is through wearable art! Nail art has been all the rage lately and makes the perfect finishing touch to any spring / summer outfit. Minimalist and abstract art with pops of spring colors is what we’ve seen trending the most. For example-- try out a classic french manicure with bright orange or dusty green instead of white tips. If you’re a local, check out Urban Nail Box on 1453 NW 54th Street which is our go-to nail salon! They use only pure, organic ingredients with no harmful chemicals that can sometimes be associated with nail salons.
