Meet Anna: Our 2025 Winter Intern
Tell us a little bit about yourself:
- Hi, my name is Anna Hermes! I graduated in 2024 from Gonzaga University with a BA in Public Relations and minors in Music and Sociology. I recently moved to Seattle from Portland, Oregon, so I’m a PNW girl to my core! In my free time, I’m typically searching for the best bites in the city, thrifting, spending time with friends, and petting every dog I see!
There are many PR agencies; why Revolution?
- I was immediately struck by how Revolution incorporates their values in everything they do, from the clients they work with to the community they’ve built. I instantly felt like this was the type of agency I wanted to work for!
What attracted you to pursue PR as a career?
- I’ve always loved storytelling in all forms as a way to get to know others and myself. PR felt like a natural way to combine that love with creative problem-solving skills to make a difference in the world.
We’re on a mission to do better, be better, and promote a better way to live. What does this mean for you?
- To me, this means a holistic effort to live the best way I can. Whether that’s growing professionally, taking care of my mind and body, fostering my friendships, or delving into my passions, it’s the continuous effort to put my best foot forward every day.
What’s your favorite way to be active?
- I love spin classes! I started taking them during my undergrad and became totally hooked. I’ve also been enjoying walks around Queen Anne -- it’s been a great way to keep moving and explore my new neighborhood!
What media outlet (publication, podcast, blog, social account etc.) are you loving right now and why?
- I have become completely obsessed with the podcast Normal Gossip from Defector Media. It’s a social analysis podcast that features anonymous stories from people’s lives. It feels just like grabbing a coffee and chatting with friends. I highly recommend it!
If you had to choose one thing you are most passionate about, what would it be and why?
- I’m most passionate about experiencing live music! I actually started my undergrad as a vocal performance major and still sing in choir, so music is a huge part of my life. Whether it’s going to see your favorite band, the symphony, or getting friends together for karaoke night, I believe that music is best experienced in community!
