Meet Ellie: Our 2025 Summer Intern!
Tell us a little bit about yourself:
- Hi, my name is Ellie Allen! I recently graduated from Gonzaga University with a BA in Public Relations and minors in Marketing and Art. I love spending time with friends, hiking, thrifting, drawing, and am always trying new creative outlets!
There are many PR agencies; why Revolution?
- My passion in PR is to help mission-based brands tell their story, especially ones that are contributing to a healthier, more equitable society. I was drawn to Revolution because they are doing just that! I want to be part of a community that supports and uplifts those making a positive impact.
What attracted you to pursue PR as a career?
- I went into Gonzaga as a journalism major because writing is a passion of mine. After learning more about PR, I quickly realized it was a better fit because it offers more opportunities for creativity, problem-solving, and relationship building!
We’re on a mission to do better, be better, and promote a better way to live. What does this mean for you?
- This means constantly pushing ourselves to learn and grow in all aspects of life– professionally, socially, and individually. For example, consciously choosing to go out of your comfort zone, seek out new knowledge, and make intentional choices about the products/services you use. I truly believe this mindset creates a positive ripple effect on yourself, the people around you, and the planet!
What’s your favorite way to be active?
- I love hiking, running, and walking my cute dog, Summer!
What media outlet (publication, podcast, blog, social account etc.) are you loving right now and why?
- One of my best friends got me hooked on the podcast “Something Was Wrong”, which has been feeding my true crime obsession. On a daily basis, I’m always adding to my Instagram saved albums: on the lookout for easy recipes to try as well as new Seattle restaurants, shops, or activities.
If you had to choose one thing you are most passionate about, what would it be and why?
- I am most passionate about connecting with the people around me. My friends and family are the most meaningful part of my life, so spending quality time with them and showing my appreciation is extremely important to me. I also love meeting new people and learning from their experiences! There is so much value and growth that comes with forming genuine connections. Whether it’s a quick interaction with a stranger or a new lifelong friend, I try to be present and open with anyone I meet!
