It's important to support our local AAPI-owned restaurants, especially during AAPI Heritage Month this May. These businesses contribute to the diversity and richness of our Seattle community and have often faced unique challenges in the past. By supporting AAPI-owned restaurants we are helping to preserve their rich cuisines. Let’s support the individuals and businesses that make Seattle so unique! We’ve compiled a list of our favorite AAPI-owned restaurants in the Seattle area to support this month and year-round. 

Umi Sake House

Located in the heart of Belltown, Umi Sake House offers a unique blend of traditional Japanese cuisine with a modern twist. Their extensive sake menu and fresh sushi options are a must-try for any sushi lover. They've also recently added outdoor dining options to their repertoire. Did we mention they have amazing vegetarian options as well? 

Moshi Moshi Sushi & Izakaya 

For a fun and vibrant dining experience, Moshi Moshi in Ballard is the perfect spot. Their creative sushi rolls and Japanese-inspired small plates are made with high-quality ingredients and beautifully presented. Sugo Hand Roll Bar 

Led by Culinary Director and Executive Chef Young Cho, Sugo debuts a first-of-its-kind hand roll restaurant in Seattle and a dining experience that highlights a creative menu featuring exciting cocktails, sustainably-sourced fish and unique selections, such as Spicy Bay Scallop and King Salmon handrolls, as well as Ebi Lollipop, Kakiage and more on the Shio menu. Buddha Ruksa
