Seattle Self-Care Guide

“How are you?” -- the question that everyone asks, but during these unprecedented times, it’s easy to gloss over. It’s okay to take a moment each day and focus on yourself. To make each day just a little bit easier, we recommend taking the time to indulge in a few of our favorite self-care activities listed below. Make a day of it!

We’re all for ordering takeout or delivery from your favorite local restaurants! For a yummy weekend brunch, we recommend Cafe Flora near Madison Park. Their creative vegetarian cuisine is ah-mazing and the roasted red pepper frittata is a must! For lunch or dinner, call up Junebaby in Ravenna for simply delicious Southern takeout.

As Summer brings the best weather in Seattle, make sure you stay active and soak up that vitamin D. Don't forget the SPF, though -- namely mineral- and reef-safe sunscreens, like All Good’s Sport lotion. The Burke-Gilman trail is a great path to explore the city while also staying safe and socially distant from others.

Treat yo’self to a spa day at City Sweat or Spruce Apothecary. Both wellness centers will have you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Not to mention, Spruce Apothecary focuses on holistic methods and offers the best natural products.

If you don’t feel comfortable going out to visit a spa, no problem -- DIY facials are relaxing and fun. We recommend Credo’s assortment of masks, and we love their commitment to ethical sourcing, clean ingredients and sustainable packaging. If you like baths, we love Refugee Bath Company’s bath bombs. The company focuses on helping refugees earning a living wage, and a portion of the proceeds go to refugee assistant programs!
