Summertime… When the Livin’ is Easy!

With the sunshine, perfect temperatures, and beautiful landscapes, there’s nothing better than summer in the Pacific Northwest! To not fall victim to the Seattle outdoor “rut” (who else has been to Gas Works three times in the past week?!) the Rev team has rounded up our favorite ways to soak up some much needed Vitamin D - with the appropriate amount of non-toxic sunscreen, of course!

  1. Fresh air is good for the soul! Get your workout done in a beautiful place while exploring the world around you. One of our favorite spots is the Twin Falls Trail , only a short drive from the city for a walk with beautiful views.
  2. We all know the food scene in the PNW is stellar, so try that restaurant that’s always been on your list! We love attending live music Jazz Brunch in the Garden at Hotel Sorrento on First Hill to spice up the tried and true weekend brunch!
  3. Rent a kayak, canoe or paddleboard and explore the water around you; maybe you’ll even see some cute wildlife (hello otters!). Renting a water toy isn’t as expensive as you might think. Check out this article for a list of the best places to rent from on a budget. Most of them are under $20 an hour!
  4. Go wine tasting or on a brewery tour! The PNW offers some of the best locally-made beer and wine in the country and summer is the perfect time to find your new favorite. Use a LimeBike as your mode of transportation (or Uber if you’ve had one too many) and create your own itinerary. Don’t forget to stop by one of Elysian’s three Seattle locations to taste their summer beers. Raspy Whisper is currently at the top of our list!

We hope this gives you some fun ideas for how to spice up your summer days! What new activities are you trying this summer?! Let us know on  Instagram and Facebook!
