Tell us a little about yourself.
I was born (and shortly raised to 5’1’’) in Vancouver, Washington where I was surrounding by pilots who fostered my love for travel. They are also easily traced to the reason why I’ve never been late for a flight! I attended the University of Washington and studied Communications and Sales, where my two favorite memories involve travel. I was fortunate enough to study creative writing in Rome for a quarter, and spent one spring break with my best friends in Ireland for St. Patrick’s Day.
There are a lot of PR agencies out there, why did you pick Revolution?
It was truly a combination of everything! From the list of clients to the team’s mentality, Revolution embodies the kind of place I wanted to work. I saw a close knit group of women who are smart, creative, positive and passionate about their clients.
What attracted you to pursue PR as a career?
The initial attraction stemmed from my first public relations course in college. I enjoyed the aspects of creative writing that are part of PR. Gaining full-time experience enticed me to stay on the PR path because of the constantly changing landscape. From the rise of social media, influencers and pop-up events, PR presents a unique opportunity to creatively challenge yourself to come up with new solutions.
We’re an agency of self-proclaimed wellness junkies! What is your favorite trend in the wellness space right now?
Even though this is not a new trend, I’ve recently been a fan of infused water. I’ve been drinking lemon water first thing in the morning to improve my digestion and have also tested a few other combinations. One of my favorite combos to sip on throughout the day is cucumber and mint.
Is there a workout that you’re loving right now?
My new goal is to attend CorePower Yoga’s “Yoga Sculpt” class at least twice a week. The class combines hot yoga, weights, and cardio into one high-intensity, upbeat class. I always have a ton of energy (and sweat out so many toxins) after each class. As someone who gets bored easily during workout classes, it’s one I continuously attend because I leave feeling challenged and accomplished.
One of our biggest motivations when it comes to exercise is being able to sport cute activewear! Is there a specific item that you’re particularly obsessed with these days?
I live in my Nike Dri-FIT hats – I own three. They are perfect for when I want to rock the athleisure look, but my hair wash cycle is not lining up as well as I’d like it to. Unlike many of my other hats, they are machine-wash friendly, which is fantastic for preventing forehead breakouts where the hat usually sits. I tend to get headaches after wearing a hat for numerous hours, but since the Dri-FIT material is softer and stretchier, it allows me to wear it all day, sans headache.
If you had to choose one thing that you are most passionate about, what would it be and why?
I am most passionate about travelling. My dad is a pilot, so he’s always shared his experiences with our family, which is why I love creating memories with the people I care about while exploring somewhere new. Plus, it brings me joy to have a trip to look forward to!
