We took an office poll to find out who had some great April Fools’ stunts to share with you. Sadly, there were only two and one was so vague, it’s not worth repeating. I wondered how this could be possible among this clever, funny and slightly devilish crew, and I’ve decided they just don’t want to give away their secrets because today in our office is going to be a fool for all. One of my favorite April Fools’ Day pranks was on my husband, when he was my new fiancé. We had just gotten engaged and still lived apart, plus he was out of town for work.  I texted him that I had a situation and felt we should talk about it (we were planning to move in together the following month).  I told him that I had rescued a dog that was in pretty bad shape.  The dog had some hairless patches, an injured vocal box, and was a little high-maintenance.  I took it to the vet and it wasn’t chipped – they told me that given his condition, he was probably unadoptable and would likely be put down. My husband says he’s allergic to dogs.  I respond with a sad face.  “Maybe you could take an allergy pill or something”, I say.  I then feign needing to go because said dog had a mishap and am unreachable until the gig is up later that evening.  I thought it was hilarious when he arrived back in town to my house to find me sans the scary pooch.  He did not. :) Maybe that’s why no one wants to share their pranks?
