Inspiring Instagram illustrators and designers

When we’re looking for inspiration (or just waiting for our coffee) we love to take a spin through the Instagram accounts of our favorite designers and illustrators. Instagram provides a great way for creatives to showcase both finished and in-progress work. We also love getting a glimpse at people’s day-to-day lives and work spaces. Here are a few of our favorites. Tell us who gets you inspired on Facebook or Twitter. /draplin Aaron Draplin is a walking, talking national treasure. A proponent of thick lines and no b.s. design, Draplin’s Instagram account showcases not only his work as a designer, but run-ins with celebrities, highlights from his travels, and fantastic found objects and logos from his yard and estate sale digging.
/brockdavis Brock Davis takes ordinary objects and makes you see them in a different light. His unique editorial style has been featured in publications like the New York Times and Wired. As part of their “Design Crush” series last year, Davis took over Target's Instagram account for a week.
/icreature Invisible Creature is a creative studio based in Seattle founded by Don & Ryan Clark. Inspired by their grandfather’s work as an illustrator for NASA, the Clark brothers create beautiful, intricate illustrations and designs for clients like Nike, Nickelodeon and LEGO. We’ve been especially inspired by their recent mural for Seattle’s Cinerama movie theater.
/darinshuler Darin Shuler’s intricate, eye-popping illustrations and comics demand your attention. His Instagram account does a great job of showing his process, from sketches to completed works.

/struggle_inc Stuggle Inc. is designer/illustrator Cody Hudson. We love his abstract, playful work and his impeccable eye for color and shape.
