Why We’re Loving SoulCycle

When you’ve overcome a difficult challenge, instead of thinking I’m so glad that’s over, think “now what”, now what can I accomplish?

Those motivational words were delivered to us by one of our favorite SoulCycle SLUN instructors. Our newest fitness partner, SoulCycle bills itself as the cardio party that is changing lives across the country and connecting people with their best selves and each other.  Needless to say, we agree.

Supporting their opening in South Lake Union, we’ve come to love this 45 minute ride for more than just the physical benefits. It has become a key motivation to start the day in a powerful way and with a great mindset.

Here’s what our team has to say about the SoulCycle experience.

“SoulCycle is the only thing that gets me to wake up at 5 in the morning. I absolutely love starting my day with a sweaty, intense SoulCycle ride. The instructors are all super motivating and uplifting, which is just what I need first thing in the morning!” – Zaina

“I really like that it integrates the mind, body, heart connection – pushing and inspiring you beyond your physical capabilities to think about showing up in a different way. I suspect you have to be in the right frame of mind to allow this. And if you do, it can be incredibly powerful.” – Jennifer

“I’ve never been one to love cycling but SoulCycle is a completely different experience. No matter what stresses, worries or fears I’m feeling when I walk into class, I leave feeling strong, calm and ready to tackle the day. The awesome playlists are also a major plus!” –Sarah M

“A quick survey of my Spotify account will tell you that I’m certifiably obsessed with playlists. Cooking, cleaning, driving, writing – even sleeping! – all demand a perfectly curated list of tunes. (Just me? Carry on, then.) One of the best things about SoulCycle is, it takes the guess work out of keeping my workout playlist fresh. I love being able to show up in the morning, jam out to one of their perfectly themed rides and start my day motivated and energized.” – Sarah W

The studio officially opened on March 30th at 2105 9th Street. Go check it out for yourself! And if class feels challenging, here’s another piece of advice from a South Lake Union instructor.

Hold your head up high, don’t look down when it gets hard. Pick your head up and face it head on.
