We’re hiring an Account Executive!

The skinny on the position
We seek a bright, energetic, savvy and easy-going individual to become our newest Account Executive.  In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and beginning to lead multiple client accounts and executing core public relations, influencer marketing and social media tasks with ease. You must be a strong writer, proactive communicator, excellent time and task manager, and strong interpersonal skills with budding management talent.  Your can-do attitude will align well with a go-getter team that thinks creatively, asks questions and doesn’t settle for anything less than great.

Qualifications you’ll want to possess…
As a boutique agency, we seek an individual who can work well independently with guidance from other team members, has strong research and critical thinking skills, and can confidently navigate any task or situation. You must possess a concrete grasp of grammar and usage with minimal grammatical or otherwise errors in your writing.  You should also find writing enjoyable and desirable. There’s not a lot of room for sprawl, so you’ll want to be super organized and able to grasp new clients and industries quickly.  You also must know how to use all Microsoft Office products. We’re flexible, so you should be too.  It’s also important that you are a consumer – and have general interest in consumer lifestyle products, particularly in the food and beverage, health and wellness, fitness and sustainable living industries.

Your previous experience should include…
At least two years of work experience in a public relations agency plus at least one internship or some combination that demonstrates that you’ve got the hang of block-and-tackle PR, influencer relations and social media tasks. We expect that you’ve had some client relationship management and experience working with junior and senior team members – managing up and down. You must also have received your bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or another related PR discipline.

What you’ll be doing
Supporting strategic planning, media and influencer relations, writing press releases and pitches, creating media lists, conducting research, coordinating and hosting experiential events, coverage tracking, drafting inspiring social content, effectively communicating with and managing clients (we are a service business!) and a few things you’ve likely never done, which is the case for all of us working in a constantly evolving PR industry. You’ll learn and grow quickly in a fast-paced environment where you’ll be crucial to the success of each account you work on.  You’ll work with clients that span across a spectrum of consumer lifestyle industries, but they all have one thing in common – our team vets each new client and project, only choosing those we are passionate about promoting.
