What We’re Giving This Year

Holiday festivities (and shopping!) are in full swing. I asked everyone in our office what they’re planning to give to friends and family this year. If you’re stumped on a gift idea, check out this list for inspiration. Enjoy! 14237512_10154408909537649_3370443132797510573_n My gift giving strategy is to give friends and family the gifts I want for myself. :) My mom is getting a cozy pair of PJ Salvage pajamas, girlfriends are getting something pretty like this Kate Spade necklace or this amazing State backpack, my super health conscious sister is getting a greens juice subscription, and my hubby and kids are getting surf-inspired stuff since we’ll be spending the holidays in California. – Jennifer Airplane made of cinnamon in cappuccino and boarding passes. This is my first year living away from home, and I loved Christmas shopping for gifts to bring back with me for the holiday.   Some of my family members haven’t visited yet, so I’m bringing Seattle to them! Of course, my first stop was Pike Place Market. I stopped by Neptune Furniture’s booth and grabbed a beautiful wood piece with a rock (from the PNW) carved into it. I also love giving gifts with memories attached to them, so I’m helping my brother fly to Seattle for spring break! – Alex tubing My family and I are giving experiences this year because we’ve all agreed that we don’t need any more stuff. For my experience, I’m giving a trip to Snoqualmie to go tubing. We used to go all the time when my brother and I were kids and haven’t been back since! It should be a fun and exciting trip! – Meagan 14925765_10154842023046833_233190942582375575_n As a gift to one another, our family is spending a week in Leavenworth, WA this holiday season! We know experiences resonate deeper than a traditional gift and want to encourage the spirit of travel within our family dynamic. – Portia 10371617_10153519604744064_4468114675285865485_n I’m the worst at family gift-giving so this year I went the personalized route and created family calendars for my parents and sister! I compiled photos from our family trips this year (and a few throwback pictures!) into calendars that I hope will make my family smile every time they see it. – Brenna bean-box I love giving coffee. It’s not a very unexpected gift coming from someone who lives in Seattle, but I know it’s something people will use and enjoy every day. The Hair Bender blend from Stumptown is my favorite to gift. I’m also sharing the new coffee subscription service Bean Box with a few lucky friends who will get a fun sampling of roasts. – Shauna What are you planning to give this year? We’d love to hear your ideas! Share them with us on Facebook or Twitter.
